I'm not sure if I want to take a younger friend to see Inglourious Basterds. I heard there's some intense violence. Would anyone be willing to give a short description of what to expect (blood and gore-wise?)
In the beginning the shoot people through the floorboards, you can't see anything other than bloody mist and a girl running covered in blood.
A baseball bat beating, you see everything, then the scalping, you see them actually cutting the scalp of the head.
A very brief sex scene, I'll tell you where it is. When Frederick Zoller brings Shoshanna to meet the creator of his film at a dinner party, and Hans Landa is sitting there, with the movie maker and his "mistress" Mr. Zoller says "This is his translator, sometimes.." I'd close the eyes of the person if they are very young.
Also, during the fire scene, someone shoots someone in the face multiple times and they show it, and the skin is lifted off the face.
It's very graphic, but completely amazing! Go see it!
Release Date: Aug 21, 2009 Genre: Action/Adventure Cast: Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, Samm Levine, BJ Novak, Cloris Leachman, Rod Taylor, Daniel Bruhl ...
In the movie the Inglourious Basterds, which of the basterds survived?
Who where all of the basterds(i mean all 8)? Give me a description, i.e. Bad Bear- killed Nazis with a bat.
How did the ones that didnt make it die?
What is their story for their nicknames?
What was their background before joining the group?
Scroll down to the "Basterds" and it had all their background and nicknames.

Lt. Aldo Raine (Aldo the Apache)- played by Brad Pitt. The main Basterd is from Tennessee and put together the Basterds group. has a rope burn around his neck (hinted that he might have survived a lynching.
Sgt. Donny Donowitz (The Bear Jew)- played by Eli Roth, second in command to Lt. Raine. a large Jew from Boston, kills nazi's by bashing their heads in with a baseball bat that he had all the Jews in his neighborhood sign.
Hugo Stiglitz- played by Til Schweiger, a quiet German pyscho, a former Nazi who killed 13 Nazi Majors. Recruited by the Basterds.
Wilhelm Wicki- played by Gedeon Burkhar. German jew who immigrated to the U.S., kills Nazi's and also works as the Basterds translator
Smithson Utivich (The Little Man)- played by B.J. Novak, born in the U.S. and kills nazi's. not much background known about him.
Omar Ulmer- played by Omar Doom.
Gerold Hirschberg- played by Samm Levine
Andy Kagan- played by Paul Rust. A character Tarantino added in after meeting Rust
Michael Zimmerman- played by Michael Bacall
Simon Sakowitz- played by Carlos Fidel.
The Bear Jew and Omar have bombs attached to their legs in hopes for a suicide bombing in the end climax scene. as the theater is burning down, they continue to shoot Hitler, and all Germans until their bombs go off and the entire theater blows up. Its an amazing scene as the two Jews release so much animosity when killing the Germans and die in their attempts to end the war, while the theater is burning down and the evil laugh of a revengeful jew is playing in the background.
Hugo Stiglitz and Wilhelm Wicki are in a bar undercover as German soldiers and when their cover is blown, they get into a gun fight which kills everybody in the room except one woman.
Not much is said about the rest of the Basterds but we can probably infer that they have been captured by the Germans and killed. In fact, I believe that Aldo asks where they are and no one knows.
Aldo and Smithson and the only two we for sure know survived.
Hope this helped! What a great movie!
In the movie, "Inglourious Basterds", a British film critic pretends to be a German officer, but his cover is blown when he signals the bartender for three glasses. What gave him away? Was it what fingers he used?
How do Germans signal "three"?
He held up three fingers, but it was not the same gesture for the number three that is typically used by Germans. That was later explained after the tavern fight when Aldo was talking to the German actress that was the double agent.
Are there any good foot shots in the Tarantino flick Inglourious Basterds.
He always has quality foot sceans in his movies (like wiggle your big toe in Kill Bill).
i can only remember at the end with Bridget having her shoe put on or something
What is the song in Inglourious Basterds playing when Shosanna's looking out the window on the night of Premiere and it plays as she is putting her makeup on.
Cat People(Putting Out Fire) by David Bowie. Awesome song :)
