What does the 1920's slang expression,"pitch a little woo" mean?

I saw an old movie called "Gold Diggers of 1933" and the characters were talking about "pitching a little woo". Mr. Humphreys on "Are You Being Served?' talked about "pitching a little woo" with Mrs. Slocum.


Basically flirting. To pitch woo is to be charming and flattering in hopes that the woman will fall in love with you. To "woo" is to entice something to come to you. In a courtship (dating) it's doing things to make a girl want to go on a date with you.
