I am curious about this. Someone gave me a flash drive with a blue ray format movie on it. Can I just play this on my PC? What is the difference of playing blue ray off a disk in a drive (blue ray player) and just playing the file on my computer? I have my computer hooked up to a 1080P hd tv via HDMI if that helps. Thanks.
well technically its the same depending on how it was ripped. if its the actual blue ray dvd files and is true in size the thing would be massive. chances are its a mkv file format which is the standard way to rip and create a single file. problem is mkv is a pain in the ass unless you have a good pc. what i do is use KM player or VLC player to watch those files. they are set up for mkv files. the best thing to do is create a divx avi with devede and burn it to a dual layer dvd, youll retain full quality this way at only 7gb in size believe it or not. thats what i do.
The Greatest Movie Ever!
Im about to buy a sony vaio aw and i want one that you can watch blue ray movies on. Some of the models say blue ray read only or playback only. also, some say blue ray write. which one do i need and what is the difference between all of them?
playback and read is same thing, they will play blueray.
write means that they can burn blank blueray disks.
all writers can playback as well.
I want to know Blue ray disc playes in market and their price.

I want to know about the latest products and technology in matrket which can provide high resolution pictures and sound like blue ray disc and HDTV.
The Ps3 is the only gaming console with Blu-Ray and the quality of the picture is way better then other consoles
Hello everyone! Im interested in becoming a x-ray technician. However, my co-worker told me that x-ray techs live a shorter life because they are exposed to radiation on a daily basis. From my understanding, x-ray techs wear a patch which detects how much of radiation they may be exposed to.Im very enthusiastic about becoming an x-ray tech, however, I don't want to live a short life.LOL! Please give me soon prompt feed back.
yes, we can get cancer just like anyone else. however, recent studies indicate that x-ray technologists live a little longer than the general population. x-ray techs are ( should be ) very careful to limit their exposure to harmful ionizing radiation. we do this by the priciple of TDS (time, distance, shielding). we expose ourselves for as liittle time as possible. we stand as far away from the source of radiation as possible. and we shield ourselves whenever possible.
to offer a little perspective on the distance part of the principle, if the tech stands 6 feet from the patient with no shielding protecting
the tech would receive 1/1000 the dose of radiation the patient received.
I would be more concerned about being able to find a job in a market that is flooded with x-ray techs after i spent 2 years in a fairly difficult educational program. at any rate, good luck.
Hi, i heard that different colurs of uv ray has different fequencies, i was just wondering how i can produce the different colours of UV rays. Can i use an light bulb and just put a colour paper under it to produce different UV rays? Or Can i buy those christmas light bulbs, with different colours. Do they have different frquencies. And if yes, how can i tell what the frequencies of an specific colour of light is?
Ultraviolet does not have color. Color is the brain's interpretation of the frequency of the light in the visible spectrum, but UV is outside of the visible spectrum.
