What type of monologue should a female use when auditioning for Amadeus?
Home of Music

I am auditioning for the role of Costanza in Amadeus. Does anyone have any monologue suggestions for me.

Also, should I go with a classical monologue or modern but with a similar personality to the character I am auditioning to play?

Watch the DVD. Be pensive...like you're writing in your head!

just as the title says.

What is the piece of music during the topless scene in Amadeus the Directors Cut.?
O-ey

In Amadeus: The directors cut, a topless scene has been added (from the play) in which Constanze is going to offer herself to Salieri in order for Mozart to get the post. Right when she begins to take of her dress, there is some awfully tragic music, and I was wondering if anyone knew what it was.

it a piece from mozart's funeral mass

What are some historical inaccuracies about the movie Amadeus?
Dao

I've been watching the movie Amadeus and i just just wondering if there were and historical inaccuracies about the movie if any.

Here are some sites that discuss the historical innacuracies:

From :http://www.moviemistakes.com/film1755/co rrections

- Many mistakes occur at the time close to Mozart's death. Salieri was not the person who helped Mozart complete the Requiem. That was Sussmayr. In Amadeus, Mozart died with open eyes. In real life, Mozart passed out a few hours before he died, so his eyes should have been closed. And finally, Constanze was not at Mozart's funeral as depicted in Amadeus, but she got sick as well and couldn't go.

-Amadeus and Stanzi had six children, only two of whom would reach adulthood. We only see one child, a son, throughout the movie.

-Entry In his asylum cell, Salieri plays a phrase from 'Eine Kleine 'Nachtmusik', which the priest readily identifies. This piece was hardly known until revived in the 20th century, and has since become elevator music. The ordinary music lover of the period may have recognised Mozart's opera melodies, but not his symphonic or chamber music, because public concerts did not then exist.

Movie Inaccuracies:
1. Salieri did not commision the Requiem from Mozart. He didn't help write it, either.

2. Salieri didn't bring Mozart home sick during the opera. Mozart didn't even get sick at an opera during this time, as far as historians know.

3.The weather reports on the day Mozart was buried stated fair weather. It rained during his funeral in 'Amadeus'.

4. Mozart had 2 children, yet we only see one in the movie. And even that one was not the correct age.

5. Mozart died at 1:00 am, not around 8:00am.

6. Constanze didn't just appear out of the coach and walk in to find Mozart nearly dead. She was already home with him. Her sister Sophie was also there, as was Sussmayr. They are shown nowhere in the movie.

7. Mozart and Salieri didn't have the fierce rivalry as shown in the movie. In fact, they were probably only aquaintences, but Salieri did go to his funeral (as the movie shows).

8. While still on the topic of his funeral, the movie shows Constanze at the funeral, while all acounts of the real thing say she was to grief-stricken to attend.

How to secure a contract with a GDS (Amadeus, Abacus or Galileo).?
Dum and Dao

I understand that you need to secure a contract with GDS (Amadeus, Galileo, Abacus) to automate your tickets reservation in the travel agency business. Anyone there, has an idea, where and who to contact and how much would this cost?

Must be done thru a legal and bounded travel agency. All transactions are going thru the ARC.
www.galileo.com or www.travelport.com ( samething)
www.sabre.com

If you work from a travel agency, they will install it in your PC and give you a code number.
Software can be downloaded from their site, but you need a IATA or ARC number to book tickets.
Ask any travel agencies in your town.
If not, just contact the above GDS websites

How do I find the reservation number of my flight on GALILEO if I have the AMADEUS number ?
Ruthy

I have the AMADEUS system reservation number and I need to find the reservation number of the same flight on GALILEO system.
Actually I don't know if the reservation has been made in Amadeus. But I can view it on checkmtrip.com and the travel agent sent me the details of the same reservation as a copy of viewtrip.com.
The booking is for Czech Airlines, there are four flights, two of them are operated by Czech Airlines, one is operated by Bulgaria Air for Czech Airlines and one is operated by Air France for Czech Airlines. There are two adults with ETKT and one infant with paper ticket. I see the four flights on Checkmytrip as confirmed but I only see the two adults and I don't see the infant in the travellers info. I don't see any ticket number neither. In the mail of the travel agent (it's a copy of a Viewtrip screen but the locator has been truncated) I see everything, including the infant and all the ticket numbers, including the paper ticket. When I try to use the same locator that I use on Checkmytrip, I find nothing on Viewtrip. I also have in the email another locator, different from the one that works on Checkmytrip, given by Czech Airlines, but it's only five characters, and Viewtrip needs six characters.

Hi,
Here is quite an interesting question...
That is easy to find out if you can or not display your Amadeus booking in Gal.
If all the airlines booked in Amadeus are not using GAL as their in house system... As GAL and Apollo are same system, then you will not be able to find it. For example, if you have an United Airines flight, then you will be able to find the booking in GAL, may be not all the flights but the UA one plus the connection ones.
If your booking has been done in Amadeus directly with an airline, then you can go to a travel agency using GAL, and if ticket hasn t been issued yet, they can try to claim the pnr into GAL.
I dont know GAL very well, and I dont know, if as Amadeus, you have an equivalent to a full airline access, on which you can display the PNR, or partially a PNR.
Dunno if it does answer your question, but well...
