Sling Blade trailer
I've heard schizophrenic people sometimes look up all the time, and grimace a lot. I've also heard they lack a lot of emotion. These all seem like traits of Karl from Sling Blade.
If you haven't by now, you really should. Even if it's just to understand all the Sling Blade jokes and references that many of us know.
Guilty as charged! But I've heard all the Billy Bob parodies from that movie, in my own defense.
I have never heard of such a snack, what type of meal is this? Thank you.
Baking powder & buttermilk biscuits,(like a scone but not sweet) it is a popular meal in the US especially in the south, it is eaten almost daily. The gravy is made from milk, flour, oil, salt, pepper and usually with sausage or meat crumbs left in the bottom of the skillet. Like this:

Here is the biscuit:

Another way biscuits are enjoyed mostly are with butter and jelly for breadfast(or anytime) and with meat, eggs and cheese like a little sandwich.

Sling Blade is the story of Karl Childers--a man who returns home after being released from a psychiatric hospital where he had been incarcerated since age 12 for murdering his mother and her lover. Karl was learning disabled (mildly mentally retarded). But he also committed the murder of three people--two while "insane" and one with premeditation. He wasn't autistic, nor did he have Down's Syndrome.
Here's what Answers.com has to say:
When Karl was a boy, he was severely mistreated by his abusive father (Robert Duvall). At age 12, Karl found his mother having intercourse with a man who tormented him endlessly; he snapped, flew into a homicidal rage, and killed both individuals by decapitating them. Years later, as a middle-aged man, Karl is deemed harmless to society and released from the mental institution where he resides. Karl says he has learned his lesson and adds, "I reckon I got no reason to kill no one." He returns to the town of his boyhood, where he's befriended by Frank (Lucas Black), the son of a widowed mother who sees the eccentric but open-hearted Karl as a kindred spirit. Karl also gets a job at a fix-it shop and resides in the backroom, until Frank's mother, Linda (Natalie Canerday), takes a liking to Karl and lets him stay with them. However, Karl also meets Doyle (Dwight Yoakam), Linda's boyfriend, a sadistically cruel, narrow-minded drunk who tosses casual abuse at Frank, treats Linda like dirt, and mocks Karl endlessly. Karl then plans and kills Frank.
