Would this costume be considered Renaissance or not. I know the one in the play is definitely all Renaissance clothing but I'm not sure about the movie.

"The real Christine Daaé
Christine Nilsson

Leroux took much of Christine Daaé's childhood background from the opera singer Christine Nilsson. Nilsson was born Kristina Jonasdotter in 1843, in a small village in Sweden. She sang at fairs, where she came to the attention of Madame Adelaide Valerius-Leuhusen, who provided for her education. When she began singing lessons in Paris she changed her name to Christina Nilsson, and went on to become an internationally acclaimed opera star, said to have sung like a goddess. Her second husband was a Count."

What instrument plays the overture in phantom of the opera, and where can you get the official music for it?
img-setCAAJDT4F

I am a proficient piano/organ player, and I want to learn the overture from phantom of the opera. I am pretty sure it is some type of organ, but not completely. I also cannot find the location of official, original music for the overture. To sum it up, what instrument plays phantom of the opera: Overture, and where can u get the original and official music for it? Thank you in advance!

If you look at the YEAR that Phantom was composed.. then the best guess would be the organ used is a GIANT WURLITZER.. and the recorded pieces have a definite GIANT WURLITZER sound to them.

The one thing you know is.. it has to be a WURLITZER, or an ALLEN or a ROGERS or a CONN because they were the only big organs being built in the 1980's
