I am interviewing a person who has a haunting that has been going on from his earliest memories. He is grown up in the home and has been having some escalating issues with his family due to the spirits. What sort of questions would you ask in this situation???
PS. (I have not had to deal with this issue for many years and would like some input from the folks here at Y/A as how to up date my technique)
Ask him why he hasn't gotten rid of the spirit[s] before if it's such a problem. I know spirits, ghosts, and demons exist and have lived in haunted places quite a few times. I have had to expel them by myself when they became harmful or scared my children. I also know that people who have diagnosed or undiagnosed schizophrenia have symptoms that make them see and hear things and have memory blocks that make them think some one or thing moved furniture or whatever around. Of course if this person has witnesses that's different. I would need more info before I could help more.
When I was a young child, I witnessed a horrific animal attack severely injuring one of my cats and killing the other (my very young kitten). Just recently, 25 years later, the whole thing has begun haunting my dreams every night. It never did before. Any idea why this would happen?
you've been thinking about it more than you did back then... like back then you probably looked shocked and maybe even cried but you never REALLY thought about it and now it's been in your head and you're really thinking about how bad it was...

I have watched this show a few times, and it is quite entertaining, but I have never really seen them find any evidence that would indicate that a place was inhabited by spirits. But I know I have not seen all their shows.
So what was the biggest haunting that they have found, and what irrefutable evidence did they find that indicated that the place was haunted by ghosts?
I have seen more than a few episodes and I have seen the more promising "evidence". I have yet to see anything that is at all compelling. The only way this so-called evidence could be compelling is if you really, really want it to be true.
They say things like, "Look right here. See that?" Um, no I didn't and if there was anything there it wasn't much. If there's anything at all it's hardly enough to make one jump to the conclusion that a place is haunted. That's why ghost hunters like TAPS rely so much on anomalies. They aren't trying to say, "Ghosts exist" because there is no evidence to support this assertion. What they have to settle on saying is, "Wellllll, ghosts *could* exist." and then hope such suggestive language will push people in the right direction.
