Does anyone know of websites or archives with fanfiction about the 1947 film "The Ghost and Mrs Muir", featuring Rex Harrison? Links asap would be enormous help :)
I'm not meaning the television program that followed.
Thanks.
That takes me back many years.

Sorry, I am having trouble sorting what might be useful.

I just watched the 1947 movie, "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir," and definitely thought it was a wonderful story of love found in an etraordinary way. Is it based on a book, or was it an original screenplay for the movie? I would love to read the book it is based on, if it is based on one.
And I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves classic movies. It is most etraordinary.
[Note: I watched this movie via mp3 file with DVS [Descriptive Voice Service], so do not know what the picture looks like, if it's any good, but the movie was great based on the DVS version. This question written using Jaws, a screenreader program for the blind/VI, and this message brought to you by all the silly people who constantly ask me how I use a computer or write questions]
Yes. It was written in 1945 by R. A. Dick (the pseudonym of Josephine Leslie).
In 1968, there was a TV comedy series based on the the same book.
The 1947 movie with Rex Harrison (at least I think it's 1947)...I can't find it on youtube unless it's under a secret name
You can download it from this website.

What things in the movie ring true about the ghosts' behavior, and what are some falsehoods about the ghosts' behavior?
This is my personal favorite movie of all times. What rings true is the timeless quality of deep, committed love. The scenes of the beach weathering the carved board, and Mrs. Muir's death...with her spirit rising in it's youthful form to rejoin her love. Also, the Captain's first providing for her, then leaving her - out of that love. That is how I imagine the afterlife to be. My husband and I were handfasted last December for this and all other lifetimes. I know of a surety we are destined to be together and we may possibly have been before...we are a prefect fit (neither of us is perfect...just for each other). It took too long for us to find each other in this lifetime. But unlike the ghost, we accomplished finding our soul mate before either of us passed.
What rings false about the ghost's behavior is the noise making, scaring people, etc. He is a crusty seaman, but a good man, so it is almost comical. His kind heart always comes thru.
