The Exorcist?
The exorcist

I have heard alot of ppl post about the scariest movie u have ever seen, and alot of ppl said the exorcist. Well i haven't seen it so.... i wanna know what makes the movie so scary
No i am not ready dj L lol, i'd rather rent the movie, thx peeps for the answers

It's one of my favourites but many of my friends are scared of it. It's some of the scenes that makes it scary, like the girl banging up and down on the bed and shouting and crying at the same time, her speaking in different voices one after another, her coming down the stair as quick as a spider on a backwards arch, etc. But do check it out if you're interested. It's quite a classic.

What are some similar horror films to The Shining and The Exorcist?
The exorcist

Besides other movies with exorcist in the title.

I'm looking to get creeped out tonight :P

If you say something retarded like "scary movie" I'll punch you right in the face.

Carrie, original Night of the Living Dead, original Dawn of the Dead (great satire), first 2 Hellraiser flicks, Prince of Darkness has a nice mood to it.

Why do people compare Jaws to the Exorcist when debating the scariest movie ever?
The Exorcist: The Animated Series

I've often heard this debated, and I honestly can't figure out.
Who in their right mind would even consider Jaws to be scarier than The Exorcist?

While Jaws is a good movie, and it was pretty entertaining, I slept with the light on for two weeks after seeing The Exorcist (I know, I'm a wimp :D)

Which movie scared you more?

The exorcist.
Hands down. Jaws is entertaining and kept me away from the beach for the weekend, but the exorcist is by far a lot of frightening.
And I was only young when I saw it too, so this freaked me out even more.
Actually, I remember I woke up screaming after it and my little sister ran to get me and I asked her if she'd get me some watermelon and crawl into bed with me.
So we ate watermelon and talked about nonsense until about 6 am.
Scary stuff.

EDIT: Okay, this mix up is so confusing.
I was about to answer this, laughing at Alex for being scared in the exorcist, but I don't think Alex has ever even seen Jaws ...
AH I'm so confused!

How would you call an exorcist expert?
Anthony Hopkins - The Rite Movie Film Billboard Poster 1614

How would you call an exorcist expert? What would be the carrer you go to? I am interested in the study of spiritual and demonic posesion under what carrer do I have to go? Theology? And about how much do they get paid?

Many Christian churches do deliverances (exorcisms). Ask around. They usually are the ones that you will find Healing Services at. I am part of a healing team that partakes of delivering demons from people.

does anyone know a song that is similar to exorcist or x-files theme?
Anthony Hopkins - The Rite Movie Film Billboard Poster 1621

I want to do an acrobatics duet with my friend and I wanted music that sounds cool like the x-files opening or the exorcist theme. Unfortunately both of those songs have already been used in other routines. I want a song that would go well with a lot of double tricks, balances, and lifts. It can be with or without words, and I want it to be able to fit with acrobatics. I'm really stuck on this and it would be really great if anyone has any ideas. Thanks a lot for any thoughts.

Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield is the Exorcist song...
Mark Snow did the music for the X-Files

Try King Crimson, Rick Wakeman or Tangerine Dream

Most likely, you can sample any of them on iTunes
