Given that Laura was among the bottom two of a public vote and that Louis could have picked whoever he wanted to be eliminated.
What are the reasons that people are giving as to why Laura should be out back into the X factor?
I agreed that Ruth had more fight left and looked more determined , Laura looked shattered before she even sang.
However, regardless of this how could anyone justify a return when no rules have been broken?
That would void the whole vote from last week and it would have to be re done.
Any ideas?
Although i agree that they were not the worst two it was the public who voted for them and not the judges, so give them a break. At the sing off the judges got it right Ruth was a lot better,in fact the only judge who got it wrong was Cheryl Cole and that was because she wants to win.
No matter what happened nobody should be reinstated but the general public should vote for the best singer and not the cute kid or the one the judges knock the most. If they did that then Laura would still be in the contest, although i didn't think she would win it.
The other way is get mentors who are not judges and therefore no favouritism towards there own act, this along with revealing simultaneously who they kept in would keep it fair.

I am watching the Katherine Hepburn 1973 version of Tennessee William's play The Glass Menagerie, and they keep saying how Laura is crippled, but she seems fine to me physically. The actress doesn't play the part with a limp or anything. Are they just referring to her shyness? Her social anxiety? Or is she supposed to be physically crippled in some way and the actress is just being too subtle for me?
The physically and emotionally crippled Laura is the only character in the play who never does anything to hurt anyone else. Despite the weight of her own problems, she displays a pure compassion—as with the tears she sheds over Tom's unhappiness, described by Amanda in Scene Four—that stands in stark contrast to the selfishness and grudging sacrifices that characterize the Wingfield household. Laura also has the fewest lines in the play, which contributes to her aura of selflessness. Yet she is the axis around which the plot turns, and the most prominent symbols—blue roses, the glass unicorn, the entire glass menagerie—all in some sense represent her. Laura is as rare and peculiar as a blue rose or a unicorn, and she is as delicate as a glass figurine.
Other characters seem to assume that, like a piece of transparent glass, which is colorless until light shines upon it, Laura can take on whatever color they wish. Thus, Amanda both uses the contrast between herself and Laura to emphasize the glamour of her own youth and to fuel her hope of re-creating that youth through Laura. Tom and Jim both see Laura as an exotic creature, completely and rather quaintly foreign to the rest of the world. Yet Laura's crush on the high school hero, Jim, is a rather ordinary schoolgirl sentiment, and a girl as supposedly fragile as Laura could hardly handle the days she spends walking the streets in the cold to avoid going to typing class. Through actions like these, Laura repeatedly displays a will of her own that defies others' perceptions of her, and this will repeatedly goes unacknowledged
My vote is for Laura Bush, McCain should have asked her even if he would get turned down on the offer.
Laura, plus she has a lotofexperience of living with an alcoholic!
Sarah Palin is a joke! She doesn't have the experience to be a private in the US Army!
In 1963, Laura Bush ran a stop sign in Midland Texas and T-boned a guy who subsequently died. She did not receive a citation and even snubbed the victim's family by not going to his funeral even though she knew him real well. She just walked away from any responsibility which, I thought, Republicans blame Dem of doing.
Is is still legal in Texas to run stop signs and would somebody today not face any legal consequences like Bush didn't or is Laura "special".
She killed one, her husband killed over a million
