LOTR, for sure. I read the books when I was a teenager, and when the movies came out, I was loving every minute of them. For me, it is just a better story.

I was just wondering in the movie The Return Of The King, at the end Frodo, Bilbo, and Gandalf sail away on the last boat leaving Middle Earth with the Elves. Where are they sailing off to exactly?
Is it some distant Elf land where they will live for eternity? If so, is it an actual land of physical existence? Or, is it more of a spiritual plane of existence?
They are going to the undying lands. Frodo must go because the wound from the molecule blade he was stabbed with will never heal and woud eventually kill him if he were to stay. I believe it's a spiritual existence. Remember, Aragorn's wife decided not to go because she forsaw a child (a boy) of theirs and stayed to be with Aragorn (Viggo Mortenson).
At the end of The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King, the last movie of the lord of the rings trilogy. Frodo and Gandalf leave on a ship somewhere. I don't understand why frodo or gandalf left or where they are going can someone please explain this to me?
Frodo left because he'd suffered many wounds during his journey and he could never recover from them. He would never be able to live in peace as he had planned. He went to the elven lands to find healing (arwen's only job in the book was to give frodo her seat on the ship). Bilbo went because he was a ring-bearer, even sam went after Rosie died and his children were grown. Gandalf went because he was bearer of one of the three elven rings of power. Since their power was destroyed when the ring was destroyed, middle earth was no longer the place for them. That's also why elrond and galadriel left when they did.
