Had a friend live with us for 3 months, but it ended ugly. My husband kicked him out. Now I don't know what to say to him if he calls. I ignored one call already. He really took advantage of us, and I don't know how to tell him without being mean about it. He was very disrespectful to my husband, and our house. HELP PLEASE!
Take his calls, but offer no more help. If he asks why he was told to leave, tell him the truth. After all that's what friends are for - being honest with each other enough to say "Hey, you were a freeloading, mooching jack a$$, you were also disrespectful to my husband and my home, and my husband got tired of it."
I suppose you could leave out the mooching jack a$$ part, so as to not offend LoL.

we are a couple and we've invited another couple (just friends, not family) to stay with us for a few days. We've been surprised as they seem to expect we are going to pay for everything, including their food!
We've cooked for them last weekend and we've also asked them if they want to go with us shopping to buy some food. They said that they don't need anything and today they asked if we have any plans for the food that is in the fridge! how cheeky! We don't want to be rude but we are not millionaires and we are feel that we are just being screwed.
What is the best thing to do? We don't want to kick them out as they are good friends of our family.

Our visitors are older than us and we are just a young couple, who got married not long ago. Besides the city where we stay is very expensive and getting a free accommodation makes a huge difference in terms of holiday budget. Plus they don't contribute to buy extras such as alcohol and desserts either.
Buy mac n cheese and hotdogs, prepare and serve. As you serve them the low-cost meal say: "Nothing fancy tonight, we're on a budget."
When I'm invited to stay with friends, I ask "What can I bring?" I also contribute by offering to make a meal (I buy the groceries).
Seriously, when friends get together it should be about enjoying the company. If you can't be honest with them, then maybe they aren't the kind of friends you want anyway. Good luck.

1. They do not "steal" our jobs, they legitimately earned them. If you can't handle the competition, maybe it's YOU who shouldn't be in this country.

Shirley Finlay's body was found in a car park
A 49-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Shirley Finlay in Ballymena two months ago.
The partially-clothed body of the 24-year-old woman was found wrapped in a duvet in a car park on 19 September.
In court was Henrik Gorski, who has an address at Hill Street in Ballymena but is originally from Poland.
He has also been charged with raping another woman, indecently assaulting her and threatening to kill her. Mr Gorski spoke only to confirm his name.
He is accused of killing Miss Finlay between 17 and 20 September and attacking the other woman between 3 and 23 August and then again on 15 September.
A detective inspector told the court he had been interviewed 16 times and that he always denied the charges.
However, he said she believed she could connect him to the charges.
The accused was remanded in custody until 7 December.
