For all those who have seen it, is it a documentary or is it an actual concert like footage?
Im going to see it tomorrow and am intrigued because the Hannah Montana one is a documentary... i think lol
=)
It is an actual concert filmed in Bunos Aires. Let me tell you it is very good. The 3d makes you feel like you are there. They have these shots from the audience and there sticking their hands in the air waving them around and I swear I thought it was somebody in the theater. Must see for any U2 fan and a amust see for anyone who has never even heard U2 before. I saw it yesterday and loved it so much I went back today to see it today and will probably go see it again. Just look at the reviews at imdb.com I cannot erge you enough to go see this in the theater I guranntee you will feel like you are there. And the great music just adds to it

I've heard its amazing and I am desperate not to miss it, but I can't find it in the local cinema listings yet!
I don't live around there, but if it's not already there at a nearby IMAX, then you will likely have to wait another week or 2 when some of the regular theaters (digital theaters) get it. I know that there is a list at the U23D website of all the cities, theaters, and date it opens. Check it, b/c there were numerous dates throughout Feb and March when it starts for each area.
BTW, the movie is great... it would be FANTASTIC had I not watched the Vertigo DVD 2000 times already!
If not, is there a good concert film of U2 on DVD?
I haven't heard that U2 3D will be on dvd, and if it is it wouldn't be nearly as good in 2d. If you're interested in more recent u2 dvds check out Elevation Live in Boston or U2: Go Home! at Slane Castle Ireland. I've heard that the audio and video on Vertigo, Chicago are a bit dodgy so if you want to take your chances with that. 2 very famous shows, 1997's PopMart, Mexico City and 1992's ZooTV Sydney are pretty awesome. At the end of this month 1983's U2 Live at Red Rocks will be on dvd. Oh and if you want a mix of live performances from the Joshua Tree tour as well as interviews check out the Rattle and Hum dvd.
Is everyone knows That when U2-3D will come to DVD?
Probably around the time of their next album release - around Jan/Feb next year - expect lots of package deal types.
Saw it on imax - absolutely awesome.
Is it just IMAX, or is it all cinemas?
