Masterpiece of Acting!
I was wondering if they offer this training in the winter or the begining of the spring? I am planning on becoming a beach lifeguard(at a lake) in Minnesota and I need to apply for that job around March. The problem is that I am taking a regular lifeguard class in a month and they do not offer a waterfront class. So do you think they will offer a waterfront in that time period?
No, not usually. what you can do though is take your regular lifeguard class and try to get a job at a pool (this is a better job in the off season trust me) then once you have some experience go talk to whoever runs the beach or lake. My friend was able to get her waterfront training cut rate because the head guard at the beach she wanted to work at was willing to train her on the cheap, she got a job there the same day as she started training.
Additional info: After initial barter of seasonal campsite for help with campground, I will consider offering the right person/couple a profit sharing arrangement for future seasons.
Waterfront campground is on Southern Lake Champlain, near the famous Lake George resort area.
Planed upgrades include electrical work to convert former Trailer sites elec to elec only campsites, replace docks, barter with builders/handymen to build/use waterfront fishing cottages.
Considering forming a boating & fishing club for members to build/buy/maintain docks, and in the future I could possibly reimburse the club for the materials. (should help build local support)
I am starting to work on business plan, and looking for business advisors to insure the long term prospects.
Most of my customers are here for the fishing, using my private boat launch, waterfront location.
I intend to make progress on "My Diamond in the Rough", even if it is at a slower than normal place.
Have you considered posting this, as a letter, in Motorhome magazine.
You didn't state the size of the project or types of campers you plan to accomodate.
Good uck.
I want to get married on the waterfront in downtown Portland but I don't know if I would need a permit or something for the event. It wouldn't be very big, just about 75 people total. If you have any suggestions that would be great!
Yes - they do allow Weddings in the South Waterfront Park area - that is in the Riverplace Marina area - not in the Northern part where they have Rose Festival. Current price to rent the area for a wedding is $256.25 and that has a limit of 150 people.
Portland Parks and Recreation has 8 different wedding location sites for rent - for a list and the fees see this page: http://www.portlandonline.com/parks/inde x.cfm?c=38300&a=93215
They have two special Wedding garden areas for rent, info at: http://www.portlandonline.com/parks/inde x.cfm?c=38300&a=93214
They also have other recommended sites for weddings around Portland on this page: http://www.portlandonline.com/parks/inde x.cfm?c=38300&a=93216
I hope that helps. I think a wedding in a park or garden is a great idea. Congratulations!
I want to watch the fireworks tonight in Astoria, Oregon for the Regatta festival. How do I get to the waterfront to view them or is there a better place?
The riverwalk is a good place to view them. If you are ok with being a bit distant from them, the stairs in the column are in so you can watch it from there. The Regatta queen's lunch was behind the Holiday Inn.( right by the waterfront) that would be a good place too.
Hope it helps.
