I love Goodfellas!! Scorsese is a genius...anything he does is amazing.
I need help constructing a thesis that compares the two movies Goodfellas and Casino. The thesis needs to connect the two movies and allow me to argue it for 4 pages. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The Godfather crew enjoyed opera, fine wine and fine living, whereas the Goodfellas/Casino folks seemed to be more crass. Whats the real deal? Was there an upper crust/lower class division within the mafia?
Goodfellas for sure is the more realistic, being based on the memoirs of an actual Mob associate. The Godfather is an overly romanticized and wildly fictionalized portrayal of Mafia life even for the late '40s period in which its set. There was never any real honor or chivalry in the Mafia. Nobody ever referred to Mafia bosses as "Godfathers" before Puzo. And while it happens, it's very rare for a Mafia boss to be succeeded by his son.
How violent is goodfellas ive seen movies like pulp fiction, saving private ryan and braveheart.

Gangster Wives (Karen)
