Im 12 and i want to be a cameraman for major motion pictures when im older. How can i start for experince and stuff?
Your going to have to go to college and study film, but for now I would get a movie camera and practice, go to something interesting and film it, it could be something at your school or something in your neighborhood, anything that you find interesting, if there's a sad story in your neighborhood maybe you could film something about that, or if there's something good going on your could film that !!!!! good luck to you !!!!

We have seen in lot of movie scenes in which the actress is looking herself in a mirror. But, I always wondered how is it possible to hide the cameraman and the camera who is shooting the scene. Any ideas?
Because the camera is off to the side of the actress, and the mirror is angled so the you see the actor in the mirror. And, when the actress looks directly at the camera in the mirror or points a gun directly at the camera in the mirror it appears as though you are the actress looking directly into the mirror or pointing the gun straight at the mirror. If the camera is far behind the actress, you can minimize the angle that the mirror is tilted so that it is not noticable in the picture.

I now how to swim , but not to dive. I am cameraman with HDV equipment. I live in Los Angeles, CA. What training centers can I find in this area? Where else is this service available if not in LA?
I wlould suggest checking with the local college's videography departments first to see if there are any educational degrees or requirements that you could have on your resume to give you more clout so to speak.
Second suggestion is to get certified in scuba as soon as you can even go as far as to learn using a rebreather which is less bubbles.
You could also google resumes of underwater videographers and se what background information they have on their resumes.

I am near the end of year 11 and i would like to know what are the best courses to take in an English college to help me to become a cameraman for a television company like BBC.

I am coordinating a film project in collaboration with a top notch production company. I want to save money by hiring a cheap cameraman from a company who makes wedding videos (I'm in China and theres plenty of those kind of cheap local outfits) to do the filming and turning that film over to the production company to do the editing and post production. The alternative is to have that company do the filming as well as the editing and post production. The filming content includes shots of a school and student life at the school as well as individual interviews. I expect some sacrifice in quality by hiring a less qualified local, but I am assuming it will still be good enough to make a good project, especially with professional editing and post production. Is that a fair assumption? Any advice?
The big difference would be ...knowing your equipment and what it can do...
and the bigger difference is framing shots to maximize the impact in relation to the storyline. utilizing light, subject placement on the background is another skill you only get from doing.
Also aesthetic do they see like an artist....
