I saw a movie once about an elephant man. I wonder if that can be. There is a lady I see from time to time that has a very large foot and also some kind of a large lump on her forehead ( she wears scarves so it's there but we do not see it. I think it is some kind of disease, wouldn't it be ?

I would like to know what he had to make him the Elephant Man, if it made him die, do people today have what he had and if so how do they deal with it.
It was thought that he suffered from neurofibromatosis but modern research has put his disability down to Proteus Syndrome. His head was overlarge and very heavy and on his last day he insisted on sleeping lying down like other people. It is thought that his head fell backwards and dislocated his neck. In the event he died without a struggle because the cover on his bed was undisturbed.

I'd compare it to the time period it was made in, and check for allegory to another time and place.
