School Days-Makoto Ito rides the train to and from school every day. However, at the beginning of his second term, he falls in love with a beautiful girl that also rides the train. Unfortunately, she barely knows of his existence. Her name is Kotonoha Katsura, and though they attend the same school, they are not in the same class. In an attempt to catch her eye, Makoto enlists the aid of a close female friend of his: Sekai Saionji. She helps him, despite the fact that she--unbeknownst to Makoto--is in love with him. Thus the three are bound in a love triangle of life changing proportions.

Kodocha-Sana Kurata has a charmed life. Not only is her mother is a famous, award-winning writer, but she's the star of the hit TV comedy "Child's Toy" while still in the fifth grade. But Sana's biggest concern is Akito Hayama, a pint-sized hellion who's organized the boys in their grade-school class into a mass of unending noise and violence. With the help of Rei, her manager, chauffeur and "pimp," Sana is determined to win back control of the classroom from her new arch-enemy. But as her crusade continues, Sana moves further into Akito's life, and finds that he might not be entirely bad...or entirely safe.

Favorite animes of all time?
攻殻カフェメニュー

I know I've asked this question a couple times, but I have new Favorite to list.

My list starts as usual, but I've discovered BEAUTIFUL new animes.

-Neon Genesis Evangelion

-Rahxephon

-Kare Kano (His and Her's Circumstances)

-Ghost In the Shell- Stand Alone Complex, Solid State Society

-Junjou Romanitca (I'm not a big fan of yaoi, but this one was particularly well done, considering)

-Wolf's Rain (My new Favorite, I had heard so much about this anime for years; but never bothered to go watch it. The soundtrack is glorious and tearfully beautiful.

Escaflowne- This is a well done classic... the movie was better in some senses, but lacked the story from the series. Has a wonderful soundtrack.

Do you all have a good list of Animes that I should watch?

Also....
any Good BL(Boy's love) out there??That are actually good and aren't the usual cliche',estrogen induced, women's fantasies? Being a gay guy myself, I find most Boy's love animes to be a little annoying. Even Junjou Romantica was sometimes a bit too melodramatic to be taken seriously. =/

i have seen most of what you guys have said so far and i would agree they are really good flicks i need more suggestions people keep em coming

This is from my private collection -

Planet of the Apes - Astronaut goes thru a black hole and ends up on Earth ( or smewhere) in the future where the apes rule and the humans are slaves

Hemoglobin - a man searches for his past and finds his family has lived for generations as inbreeders.

Queen of the Damned - about vampires and a girl who wants to be a vampire

Jason - He is on a space station and tries to kill everyone

House of 1000 Corpses - They eat people

Ghost Ship - An evil ghost has to gather many other souls for the devil. He causes mysterious accidents that kills people on a ship. The opening scene is a doozy.

Sin City stars Bruce Willis It is very gory and bloody. Much violence but more tongue in cheek than fist.

Starship Troopers - Aliens bombing Earth. We go to their planet to kill them.

Dog Soldiers - Soldiers turn into werewolves and kill everybody

Not sure of the dates. I'll get around to cataloguing my 3000 movies one day.

I thought Sin City was the best. Extravagant and unlikely violence. How do you get a dog to eat his masters' legs while he sits there smiling.

What order do I watch the "Ghost In The Shell" seasons/volumes in?
巨大なタチコマちゃん

A friend recommended that I watch "Ghost In The Shell" but I have no idea what order to watch them in and what box set to buy? There seem to be different ones like: "Stand Alone Complex", "Solid State Society", "Innocence", "The Laughing Man", "Human-Error Processor", "2nd gig", and etc.

So what order do they watch them in and is the plot tied together between all of them? Please don't just point me to the first one to watch. I would really appretiate a description of how they are all laid out. Thanks.

Watch it in this order:
1.Ghost in the shell (1st movie)
2.GITS: Stand alone complex
3.GITS: Innocence
4.GITS: Stand alone complex 2nd gig
5.GITS: Solid state society

Ghost in the shell: human error processor comes after the first movie but before Innocence, and if I'm not mistaken Human error processor is manga only.

By the way the person above is wrong, the first movie comes before the series, and Solid State Society is the last thing you should watch since the events take place after 2nd Gig.

edit- fine, but Solid State Society still takes place after 2nd Gig, so it should be the last thing to be watched.
And actually, we're both wrong because Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex follows an alternate and separate storyline from that of Mamoru Oshii's theatrical film adaptations. So arguing whether the first movie came before or after the series would be pointless.

edit: whatever, I'm going to bed

In what order do I watch the Ghost in the Shell adaptations?
沢山のパネルでCM放送中

In what order do I watch the Ghost in the Shell movies in coordination with the series? There is:
-Movies-
Ghost in the Shell
Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence
Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society

-TV-
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex
Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig

How do I need to watch these for it all to make sense? Thanks!

The two movies are separate stories, the movie "Solid State Society" is a follow-up of the series.

I would recommend watching in this order:
Ghost in the Shell (1995)
Ghost in the Shell: SAC (2002)
Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2nd GiG (2005)
Ghost in the Shell: SAC Solid State Society (2006)
Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (2004)

Watching the original movie first is just so you get to know the characters, then the series and SSS since they are linked. As for the last movie "Innocence" you'll know everything about Ghost in the Shell and it'll make it more enjoyable.

You can watch the two movies first if you'd like to, it doesn't matter since like I mentioned, they're both different stories.
