In the stock market, what are the general dynamics when there is a company acquisition?
TFU2 Figure: StarKiller & General Rahm Kota

Let's suppose that 2 companies are listed in the stock market, and there is an acquisition:
- What dynamic trends do we see? Does the buyer stock go up or down?
- What happens to the stock of the company that is being bought? Do the companies merge in one stock symbol?
- Any other stuff you wish to share about your acquisition experience?

Will the IPCC be the death knell of the UN in general?
F-16AM, Royal Danish AF. RIAT 2011

There are plenty on instances of UN corruption, abuse, misspending, ineffectiveness, etc. I haven't done a tally but my gut feeling is that the negatives far outweigh the positives. Will climate change and the IPCC be a severe blow to the UN being considered a viable entity any more?

My own opinion is that it may still continue since it appears to be a valuable political tool for many countries and ideologies. It may take a revolution to shut it down and start fresh with something sensible, and thus better.

Ok only the richest people pay 50% taxes. Regular people don't have that much income. The way it's set up (I'll choose easy numbers to show what I mean, they're not the actual ones) 500€ you earn are tax free. The next 500€ have a moderate tax rate and it climbs first slightly and then a little stronger. So That means if you're earning 20000€, let's say 10000 of that have a rather low tax, 5000€ a moderate tax and the last 5000€ a high tax. This of course are just numbers I made up.
The point is that they don't just take all your money.
There are other factors which play into you not receiving all of your income. We have a fairly solid net of social security. This means everybody pays a little of their income for a health fund, unemployment fund and other small funds that help you out if you're unable to work or they get paid to your children if you happen to pass away. Long story short you have to pay for some of these things (but the employers have to put in roughly equal parts) and it provides you with security for when you get sick, you lose your job or are in any other kind of misery.
Munich is really a good place for Canadians or Americans. They have a closer connection to the US than other parts of Germany and lots of people speak english there. Plus it's the prettiest place in Germany.
